The base

100% Arabica

Coffea arabica is the species behind most specialty coffee. Joe's Blend is 100% Arabica, medium roasted and milled fine enough to dissolve in a 21 g sachet. Arabica carries less caffeine and less bitterness than Robusta, which is why the cup tastes coffee-forward rather than harsh, and why it needs less sugar to be pleasant.

100% Arabica means every gram of coffee in the sachet is Coffea arabica, with no Robusta filler. Arabica is smoother, less bitter and about half the caffeine of Robusta, which is why Joe's Blend tastes coffee-forward and needs less sugar.

Found in

Coffea arabica, grown at altitude in the tropics. In the Philippines it grows in the Cordillera and the Mindanao highlands.

Why we use it

Why is 100% Arabica in your coffee?

A coffee with benefits still has to taste like coffee first. Arabica gives a smoother, lower-acid cup that carries the three L's without extra sugar to hide bitterness.

  • Medium roast for a balanced cup
  • Less bitter than Robusta
  • Dissolves fully, hot or iced
The research

What does the research on 100% Arabica say?

Peer-reviewed papers you can read yourself. We describe what they measured, never what will happen to you.

Education, not advice. Joe's Blend is coffee, not medicine, and carries no approved therapeutic claims. If you have a condition or take medication, talk to your doctor before adding anything new to your day.

FAQ

100% Arabica questions people ask

Is Arabica coffee better than Robusta?

They are different, not simply better or worse. Arabica is smoother, more aromatic and carries about half the caffeine of Robusta; Robusta is stronger, more bitter and cheaper, which is why most instant sachets use it. Joe's Blend chooses 100% Arabica for a smoother, coffee-forward cup.

Does Arabica coffee have less caffeine?

Yes. Arabica carries roughly half the caffeine of Robusta by weight, so an Arabica cup gives a gentler lift. The exact caffeine per sachet will be published here from the lab sheet.

Is 100% Arabica instant coffee real coffee?

Yes. Instant coffee is brewed coffee that has been dried, so what matters is the bean that went in. Joe's Blend starts from 100% Arabica before drying, so the cup is real Arabica coffee in 30 seconds.

Is Arabica coffee good for you?

Coffee is one of the most-studied drinks, and large umbrella reviews look at moderate intake, but Joe's Blend makes no health claim. We use Arabica for a smoother, lower-acid cup and print the full label so you can decide for yourself.

How is Joe's Blend Arabica roasted?

It is a medium roast, milled fine enough to dissolve fully in a 21 g sachet, hot or iced. Medium roast balances body and acidity without the burnt notes of a dark roast.
